History

Telstar Maritime Agencies, founded in 1978 and formerly known as Abou Zaid and Khreino, has established itself as a prominent entity in the maritime industry. The company, under the ownership of Mr. Farid Hussein Khreino and Mr. Ali Hussein Khreino, is led by Mr. Farid Hussein Khreino as Chairman, supported by his sons Hussein Farid Khreino as Vice Chairman and Fadi Farid Khreino as Vice Chairman & Managing Director.

Officially registered with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, the Chamber of Commerce, and recognized by the Shipping Association, Companies Control Department, and Jordan Maritime Commission, Telstar Maritime Agencies has been a pivotal figure in Jordan's shipping landscape.

Telstar Maritime Agencies played a foundational role in introducing shipping services to Jordan via the Aqaba port, representing various shipping lines since the 1950s. Its historical contributions include managing ship discharge and loading operations in Aqaba from 1950 to 1967, and subsequently serving as shipping line agents and P & I club correspondent from 1968 onwards.

Operating from its headquarters in Amman, Telstar oversees management, accounting, marketing, and the delivery of cargo to importers, a role it has fulfilled since 1950. The company also had operations in Beirut from 1970 to 1985, although these are presently suspended.

Telstar Maritime Agencies continues to uphold its legacy of maritime excellence and leadership in Jordan, maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality service and operational integrity in the shipping industry.

Timeline

Haifia - Before 1947 - Handling discharge and load operation and ship's services.

Aqaba - Between 1950 and up to 1967 - Handling ships discharge /loading operations and all Aqaba port management.

                   1968 up to now - Shipping line agents and P & I club correspondent.

Amman - Head office - Management / Accounting / Marketing/ Logistic to all Middle East countries and deliver cargo to importers since 1950.

Beirut - 1970 to 1985 - presently operation is suspended.
